Thank you for this post. I have found myself questioning the necessity of ritual and even questioning whether I’m pagan. But you have given words to my need for ritual: the need to sync up with the clock, the rhythm, of that larger awareness that holds us even as we contribute to it. Being able to voice what is deeply felt is so freeing.

Yeah, the holidays can be tough, esp. in the face of loss of a loved one.

This is my third Thanksgiving and birthday (tomorrow) without my father. It’s still a little painful…
