Thank you for the laugh and the perspective. I have a four and a half year-old, and have been a big part of of my nineteen and thirteen year-old stepkids' lives. I have constant pagan mommy angst about not paying enought attention to ancestors/Spirit, kids' nurture, my own writing, community, the earth, making a living and paying bills, my partner, the cats . . . . This was just what I needed. Hard to imagine Teish lacking the wit and wisdom to appreciate your article.

I'm glad to hear that my eternal question of "WHEN?" is something you struggled with as well. Not quite as out of the game as you are, my kids are just now 5 and 7. Thanks for re-posting this. I can't imagine how an author would be offended or put out for being an inspriation for such rituals!

Though we have things on the top of our fridge, I'm going to think about how to create such an altar in our kitchen!
