Anne - I just wandered in here for the first time, courtesy of Jason's links over at wildhunt.org, and what a lovely treat to find! The mental image of your cozy house with the fire and the dog and the piano was so vivid and sweet, just the thing for a cold grey morning. I play the harp, and I think I will take your words with me when next I sit down to play--for your friend is quite right, beauty should be shared and treasured. Thank you!

I love the thought of you sitting in your cozy home playing that fabulous new piano. It warms me.

anne....I remember every time you've played and sung the songs you've written. There needs to be more songs by Anne Hill in the world. May this next turn of the wheel bring more.
I love you,

Anne -- Reya referred me to your post about your piano. I just came back to playing the piano after a hiatus of many years. I have also discovered the joy of playing with other people. My favorite partner right now plays the double bass. Playing with her each week is better than any therapy I can imagine. I can understand your delight at acquiring such a wonderful instrument. My dream is to have a grand piano, having also grown up with a Baldwin Acrosonic -- a good piano, but hardly the same thing. I hope your newfound music fills your being with peace and harmony. Music is definitely good for the soul.
