I remember that walk very clearly, in fact I was thinking about it as I was writing the piece. We had not yet gone to Avebury, and were still in Carmarthenshire. Some of the many things I loved about that walk: it was long; lovely narrow rural roads with no cars; we didn't know where we were going but trusted we'd find our way back. Fields, small farms, rolling hills, cows, woods and meadows. Oh, and that wonderful little church with the postage-stamp graveyard out back!

I love walking, too, and spend much of my time walking, since I gave up my car a couple of years ago. Yes, all you said about it, yes. Only substitue "the capitol" or "the Potomac River" for your Sebastapol locations.

Today's post reminded me of that nice little walk we took in Wales, from Susan and Trevor's house, up and around and back again. Remember? Mars was blazing in the night sky, we were headed to Avebury, or just back from there.
