It is an exciting time to work with dreams! This page describes the dreamwork services I offer, as both a dream consultant and spiritual director. If you have any questions after reading the descriptions below, or if you are interested in fashioning a dreamwork experience that is different from what I've described here, please send me an email, or use my contact page to get in touch. (I am a member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams, and subscribe to their statement of ethics.)

Individual Dreamwork

My work with individuals emphasizes the dreamer having active control over the inquiry into his or her dream, in a supportive setting. Depending on your preferences, we may use the "if it were my dream" approach popularized by Rev. Jeremy Taylor, or combine that with dream re-entry, intentional dreaming, divination, and professional coaching to help you answer the call of your dream.

Individual sessions are usually one hour long, and can be held by arrangement throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. I am available for private sessions in other parts of the world during my travels; for details please refer to the schedule page.

Many clients speak to me by phone and via Skype videochat. I have a sliding scale to accommodate high and low income clients, with paypal and credit card options available.

Group Talks and Dream Sharing

I speak on a number of subjects related to dreams and sleep health, and love to facilitate dream groups in many settings. Whether you are colleagues in the workplace or friends gathered at a private home, these groups provide the perfect forum for you to learn new ways of accessing the wisdom of dreams. Dream sharing groups can be stand-alone events or scheduled as part of a party or retreat. They can be any length, from 2 hours to an all-day gathering.

We can focus on many different themes when looking at dreams, including issues of creativity, group process, life transitions, healing, and spiritual direction. Talks can be tailored to virtually any range of ages or interests.

Workshops and Dream Ritual

One of my passions is intentional dreaming, or what I call Asking for a Dream. I assist people in devising simple yet powerful rituals to call forth a dream to help them with an issue, and then working together with the dream material. Many people would like to feel the Sacred more in their everyday lives, and setting up rituals to call for and respond to dreams is a simple, profound way to accomplish this.

Each ritual is unique, because each dream and every dreamer is unique. Rituals may include guided visualization, re-entering the dream, working with particular dream figures in a tangible way, and creating rites of passage to mark dream transitions and initiations. I find this a particularly creative, deeply transformative process, and the rituals typically come out of one or more sessions of regular dreamwork.

Workshops are an opportunity to explore dreams in a more in-depth, experiential way. Using artwork, writing, meditation, discussion, and dreamwork, workshops allow each participant to engage fully in their own dream process while learning new skills and participating in lively group discussions. I have led dream workshops on a variety of fascinating subjects. I am happy to work with you or your group in designing one to meet your needs.
